Justin Beit

Justin Beit, owner and operator of GemGuard of New England, partners with Carter’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry as the in house fine jewelry appraiser.

For nearly twenty years, fine jewelry, gemstones, and timepieces have provided both a passion and profession for Justin Beit. Stemming from an upbringing in the estate jewelry business, Justin began apprenticing in metalsmithing and watch repair at the age of twelve at his father’s jewelry store in Newburyport, MA.

Justin holds a Graduate Gemologist degree, long regarded as the industry’s most prestigious academic credential from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Among other gemological and appraisal science degrees and studies, Justin currently holds the position as Vice President of the New England GIA Alumni Chapter. He continues to stay informed and up-to-date in all aspects of gemology and appraisal sciences by continuing his education whenever possible.

Throughout the past ten years, Justin has worked as an appraiser and jewelry consultant for some of the finest jewelers in the Northeastern United States, specializing in bridal, antique and couture level jewelry, resulting in appraising thousands of pieces of fine jewelry and time pieces.

In 2011, GemGuard of New England partnered with Carter’s Diamonds & Fine Jewelry as the exclusive fine jeweler to offer the GemGuard appraisal services to their clients.
